Lamont Nathaniel Gibson is a producer, writer, director, and editor, born, educated and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a BFA concentrated in documentary directing, and a MFA in narrative filmmaking from Temple University, I create documentaries and narrative films focused on LGBTQIA+, social justice issues, and historical African American figures. Through my recent works, I breathe life into stories that educate and enrich a culture that has been fighting for decades for equality.

My films speak not only for me but for those struggling to find themselves in a world of uncertainties. My documentaries highlight themes of community, relationships, love, acceptance, hypermasculinity, homosexuality, Black resistance, and social equality, celebrating the richness of being unapologetically Black.
